The market town of Sillian lies 1100m above sea level, and is situated in the mountains, by a river and close to a skiing area. It is the proud capital of the Hochpustertal valley and, with 2000 inhabitants; it is the biggest place between Lienz and Bruneck. Nature can be enjoyed in all its glory here, for Sillian has remained protected from mass tourism and the landscape around Sillian has remained intact.
